My friend Jen's Baby shower cake. Chocolate cake and chocolate buttercream bottom. Bassinet is white cake and buttercream frosting. Whole cake covered in Satin Ice brand buttercream flavored fondant. I used an impression sheet for the basket look on the bassinet.
Penelope's preschool graduation cake. Each of the kids had a "crayon" on the cake with their name hand painted with amerimist food-grade airbrush color on it The "pencil on top was also hand painted same stuff different color. The apple stem is a baboo skewer that goes through both cakes to stabilize top layer and is covered in brown gumpaste. bow and ribbon surrounding top layer are gumpaste so is the "pencil" and "chalk"The cake was white with butterscotch buttercream frosting covered in Satin Ice buttercream flavored fondant and gumpaste.

Chris let me open my Christmas present early so I could make some cakes for a fund raiser at work.
Both of these cakes are 6IN round, 4IN tall, white cake, with buttercream frosting, white fondant, and Wilton Sugar sheets. I used my new Cricut Cake cutter to cut the Sugar Sheets. I didn't even start baking these until 7PM so please be forgiving about any mistakes you see. I was up until 3AM. I was loving the Cricut Cake.

This is a cake, not a pizza. White cake, buttercream frosting is the crust and red buttercream for the pizza sauce. The cheese is grated white chocolate. The olives, pepperoni, and mushrooms were all made out of modeling chocolate. Modeling chocolate is a mix of chocolate and corn syrup. The crust and mushrooms were dusted with cocoa powder for looks the crust was also dusted with yellow powdered food coloring. This was for the same lady I made the Mario cake for.

For a while now just the thought of making a cake brought on morning sickness. I am starting to get over it now and made my first cake in, what has felt like, months. Another awesome referral from Nathan Brian has resulted in this guitar cake. Its chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream. Frets, pick gaurd, and nobs are all Gum Paste.

This cake was for a Bridal shower the only thing they gave me to work with was number of servings, the colors they wanted, and the cake flavor. I had originally planned something completly different but this was okay too.
This is a 9 In. round chocolate cake with a chocolate buttercream frosting. The top was a 6 In. also all chocolate. I am pretty sure this was my first cake with a tier, so a bit of a learning curve is to be expected especially since everything I learned about cake decorating came from watching YouTube.
